Tennessee's 8th Congressional district update
Earlier I wrote about James Hart and his bid to represent Republicans on the ballot this fall in the US House of Representatives. Hart's the guy that campaigns in a bullet proof vest and believes in breeding racial purity. I went so far as to endorse his write in opponent. Looks like I'm 0-1.
Unofficial results give the eugenist a whopping 59 point lead as of midnight. It's there on page six. I'd like to see the televised debates leading to the fall elections there.
John Tanner is the Democrat he squares off against and is the incumbent. He is expected to retain his seat this fall.
*UPDATE* It's official:
James Hart, a believer in the discredited, phony science of eugenics, has handily defeated write-in opponent Dennis Bertrand in the Republican primary for the Eighth Congressional District.
Now of course, he will do what any candidate would do: head to the GOP convention in New York. I wonder if they will let him speak before Arnold.
