All's fair for the incumbent

The Denver Post:
Denver taxpayers are picking up a $57,500 tab for President Bush's visit to the city to raise $2.2 million for Republican candidates.

Denver Police Chief Gerry Whitman does not expect to get a refund.

I realize that every incumbent uses the "official business" excuse. But it still pisses me off.
