Gonzo for torture

When reading this article about the upcoming vote on Alberto Gonzales for Attorney General I thought to myself a number of times, 'Is the best argument for AG really the struggles that he's overcome?'

Is that really how the Republicans are going to bat for him? That he has struggled? It's a great story for Oprah, sure, but not a qualification to be Attorney General.

I'd love to see this as a party line vote, and I'd love to see it hang around the necks of the GOP.
