Slave war
When I was in school, I often thought I heard too much about the oppression of slaves and the abuses they endured rather than the affection the slaves shared for the men who would take them from the freedom of their homeland and force them to work long hours in the field for no money. I thought there should have been more about the admiration slaves had for the white men who would teach them moral lessons by whipping them for spilling a bucket of milk or looking at a white woman, more about the free travel slaves would get as they were sold from owner to owner like any other ware or good.
Thankfully, someone has finally rectified that sentiment.
Who would have guessed it would be a private Christian school in the South?
