“This administration is populated by people who’ve spent their careers bashing government. They’re not just small-government conservatives—they’re Grover Norquist, strangle-it-in-the-bathtub conservatives. It’s a cognitive disconnect for them to be able to do something well in an arena that they have so derided and reviled all these years.”

BlueOregon

It's always nice to find progressive communities on line. Sometimes when you spend the day reading article and news online, you become a little isolated from the idea that there are a number of people out there fighting for the same general cause. And that is something we all need to remember as clear our heads from the nightmarish hangover of November 2nd.

While sites like Kos are all about community, a majority of other bloggers (including myself) seem to have the feel of one man shouting at the wind looking for others to shout with them. Part of the problem here is that there simply isn't the returning traffic to create discussions. Eventually, I think it will come.

The point of this? Found a site today called BlueOregon, created as "a place for progressive Oregonians to gather 'round the water cooler and share news, commentary, and gossip." Take some time and head on over, even if you aren't from there. It'll be like a vacation of the mind.
