Retirees demand Moore
Miami Herald:
Dozens of retirees in Century Village's Pembroke Pines community, still fuming over a decision to postpone showing Fahrenheit 9/11, protested Tuesday outside their clubhouse.
The residents clamored about what they view as an act of censorship imposed on them by Century Village management.
"I haven't seen the movie yet, and now they won't let me, and I'm pissed," said Joan Genender, 75, rapping her cane on the sidewalk for emphasis.
Apparently the grandson of a resident has decided to show the film on DVD the day before the election, and he has invited all the retirees that will fit in his house to watch it with him. Should be a solid block of Kerry voters fired up for November 2nd.
