“This administration is populated by people who’ve spent their careers bashing government. They’re not just small-government conservatives—they’re Grover Norquist, strangle-it-in-the-bathtub conservatives. It’s a cognitive disconnect for them to be able to do something well in an arena that they have so derided and reviled all these years.”

Peace and Freedom deny Nader, nominate Peltier

Nader will not be a factor here in California. The news channels may as well call California for Kerry and put the votes in his EV total right now. Still Nader's failed attempt to get the Paece and Freedom Party's endorsement today still must have hurt his feelings.
The Peace and Freedom Party chairman says the group respects Nader as a leader and he should have access to ballots in "many states."

Kevin Akin says the party decided to go with Peltier because delegates believe his candidacy is "very important."

...as opposed to Nader's campaign, which is only important to Republicans at this point. Why this guy stillgets treated as newsworthy at this point is beyond me. How come we don't hear stories about Michael Badnarik stealing Bush's vote this fall? Give him more newstime, and I'm sure he could poll a strong 2% just like Nader now does.
