“This administration is populated by people who’ve spent their careers bashing government. They’re not just small-government conservatives—they’re Grover Norquist, strangle-it-in-the-bathtub conservatives. It’s a cognitive disconnect for them to be able to do something well in an arena that they have so derided and reviled all these years.”

This cannot be right...

An AP article covers Bush's campaign stop in West Virginia, home of five electoral votes and a 5.2% unemployment rate. The speech was his usual America is safer and the economy is strong. So, apparently, is our right to freedom of expression:
Two Bush opponents, taken out of the crowd in restraints by police, said they were told they couldn't be there because they were wearing shirts that said they opposed the president.

I'm writing a letter to Congress tomorrow asking for a law that would ban anti-Bush T-shirts from being made. Our president shouldn't have to face criticism, especially at his own campaign rally. Hopefully these two didn't hear any campaign secrets.
