Bad idea
James Sensenbrenner(R-Wisconsin) suggests creating an Inspector General for the judiciary. Does anyone (other than James, mind you) really think that adding another layer of partisanship to the federal government is really going to do any good?
He said he was working with a panel led by Justice Stephen G. Breyer of the Supreme Court to review "the ethical state of the judiciary" and ensure that judges were "properly policing their behavior" as previous Congressional action intended.
What a witchhunt. Why not, while you are at it, review the "ethical state of the legislature and the executive branch" as well? Tom DeLay and a certain WMD salesman would be a good place to start.
