A message for John Kerry
I'm sure you stop by here all the time, John, and I welcome the traffic. But if you are still thinking about running for President in 2008, read this:
President Bush's job disapproval rating dipped to 53 percent in last week's Zogby poll, but respondents still preferred him to John Kerry by four percentage points.
Bush had disapproval ratings ranging from 54 to 63 percent on Iraq, jobs and the economy, Social Security and Medicare, foreign policy, education, taxes and the environment.
His only positive rating on issues was in conducting the war on terror, where he scored 54 percent.
John, this is a guy that Americans disagree with on all sorts of policies, but they would still support him to you. Which means that Republicans would have to run a Kenny Lay or a Martha Stewart for you to have a shot.
Don't get me wrong, John. I liked you in 2004. But you better start investing in a serious image makeover, or put it in the can for 2008.
Please don't take it personally, and please continue to stop by.
Your pal,
Scott
P.S. Isn't it sad that the state of America is such that even a guy who most Americans disagree with on issue after issue could still potentially get elected President like that?
