“This administration is populated by people who’ve spent their careers bashing government. They’re not just small-government conservatives—they’re Grover Norquist, strangle-it-in-the-bathtub conservatives. It’s a cognitive disconnect for them to be able to do something well in an arena that they have so derided and reviled all these years.”

Tolerating the enemy

Is there any doubt after reading this that SpongeDob just outright hates homosexuals? If we are unable to tolerate a group of people, there is no living peacefully with them. Which, logically means that the answer to the whole "homosexual problem" that Dobson has must be destruction in one way or another. Too bad Australia has already evolved from it's start as a British criminal retreat, or he could have proposed we round them up and send them there.

The video they are protesting features animated creatures teaching kids that tolerance is the best way to go. Rather than, say, tying someone you don't agree with to the back of your pick-up truck and dragging them for miles, you should simply shake hands, sing a few bars of "We Are Family," and move on with your life.

Instead, Dobson and his organization find tolerance of (not agreement with) all people "morally offensive." And all of this because of a video and lesson plan that, as far as I can tell, do not specifically mention homosexual rights.

And that's to say nothing of Dobson's erect frog friends (via atrios).

*UPDATE* Watched SpongeDob here on Hannity and Colmes. He notes the pledge (from the website, not the video, mind you) that says I pledge to tolerate those with sexual orientations different from my own (paraphrased). Does that mean that Dobson believes that homosexuals should be intolerant of straight people as well?

Nothing like preaching hatred against each other, eh, James?
