The address
So I read it, because I slept in today. It was alright. There were a couple of striking moments that I thought were well written early on, but when I read through the parts about America's ideal of freedom I thought 'What about the homosexuals that you and your followers demonized, Mr. President?'
And don't get me started on the idiocy of the "ownership society." I'm sure every American is looking forward to "owning" their health insurance and the hassles that come with it. I know when it is time to renew our benefits at work great shouts of joy go up at our opportunity.
Not much else really leapt out. An alright speech that will be heaped with praise from the usual suspects, no doubt.
